The view from the terrace of the restaurant, over the linden trees, sunny slopes and vineyard vines, is still one of the most beautiful in this part of the country. From the restaurant’s viewpoint, the view includes the Danube, the beautiful Grocka Hill, the contours of Avala, Smederevo and Pancevo (see the fortress of Smederevo on the one side and the refinery on the other), and even the outlines of Vrsac hill. The astronaut Neil Amstrong’s words have been noted that “from here is a nicer view than from the Moon.”
The present building, as before, seeks to be in the spirit of Serbian architecture and in harmony with the landscape. The configuration of the terrain and the beauty of the panorama were respected, the famous terrace with a view was restored, and the purpose was completely preserved. The fragrant linden trees that many fond memories bind to the grocery store are still there, at the foot of the terrace. The capacity of the property is a restaurant hall with a covered terrace facing the Danube, a conference room upstairs in the spirit of Konak, a wine cellar with a tasting room and spacious parking.
Today, green vineyards are being restored near the restaurant on the sunny slopes descending towards the river. Every visitor and traveler can be assured of the national cuisine that still admires the beauty of the new facility, as well as the beauty of the vista, the nature and the unforgettable panoramas that surround it.
